TopMail Wins Best in Show at LAUNCH Fest 2026
Out of 30 startups pitching at Jason Calacanis’s LAUNCH Festival in San Francisco, TopMail took home a Best in Show award and an investment from LAUNCH Fund. Here’s what happened, what we showed, and what it means for the future of email marketing.

We won Best in Show at LAUNCH Festival 2026. Thirty startups pitched. Three minutes each. We took home the Best in Show prize and an investment from LAUNCH Fund.
Here’s what TopMail is: email marketing for small businesses and developers, built to eliminate the software tax that legacy email providers charge as you grow. Unlimited sends for $20/month. An AI agent that writes your campaigns, builds your automations, and runs your entire email operation from a single prompt. A developer-first API built for coding agents like Claude and Codex. No per-contact pricing traps. No complexity. Just email that works.
That’s what we showed Jason Calacanis and a room full of investors in San Francisco last weekend.
Three Minutes on the LAUNCH Festival Stage
LAUNCH Festival is Jason Calacanis’s startup pitch competition — he’s been running it since 2011, and past winners include StackOverflow and Abra. The format is almost comically unforgiving: you get three minutes on stage to demo your actual product. No vision decks. No hand-waving. If it doesn’t work live, you’re done.
We were genuinely nervous. Not because the product wasn’t ready — it was — but because three minutes is nothing. We had to pick one thing to show and make it count.
So we asked the AI agent to announce a new product to our customers. Live. In front of everyone.
It wrote the copy, designed the email, picked the segment, and had it ready to send in about 6 seconds. The room reacted. You could feel the energy shift.
That was the moment.
Why We Won LAUNCH Festival
Honestly, we don’t know why we won. The 30 startups on Jason’s pitch list this year were heavily focused on AI agents and AI-enabled products, and the quality was high. We’re just grateful the judges saw something in what we’re building.
What we do know is that TopMail is different. Shopify sync that just works. Automation flows you describe in plain English. 99%+ delivery rates. An API that a coding agent can pick up and use without reading 40 pages of docs. And a price that doesn’t punish you for growing your list.
What’s Next for TopMail
We’re not going to pretend winning a pitch competition means we’ve made it. It’s a great signal. It opened doors. But the real work is the same as it was last week: make the product better, ship faster, keep deliverability bulletproof.
We’re expanding the AI agent, adding more integrations, and building out the infrastructure to handle the growth that’s coming. That’s the job.
Thanks to Jason and the LAUNCH team for putting this together. Thanks to the other 29 startups — genuinely impressive group. And thanks to our users for building this thing with us through every feature request and support ticket. You built what won on that stage.
If you want to see what the fuss was about, go try it. It’s free to start.
